(Pg.40)the day after the big fight and i wasn't feeling too great. Even though I was still bleeding, I went to school because to tell you the truth, I like school. I got there late though so it wasn't about til' lunchtime when i found out about what happened to Steve and his mom. According to Jeannine, Steve's mom had a stroke or something and I can't believe it but I was actually worried. I really hope that it wasn't because he left the house last night or I might feel guilty. To get my mind off of things, I went to the basement to play cards with B.J. and Smokey but that 't turn out that well. I ended up losing fifty cents to those cheats. There is no possible way that I am that bad at poker. (Pg.42)i ead off to gym after but I don't mid gym. I basically just stand around and watch the other kids play basketball. Something very interesting did happen at gym though. You are not going to believe this but Coach Ryan actually offered me five bucks to beat up Don Price. Price is this obnoxious kid that runs his mouth too much. I would of loved to beat Price up if it wasn't for my busted up side. I got through the rest of the day and decided to head over to Patty's.
(Pg.45)When I got there, I saw that her mom was there so I decided to book. Her mom and I do not seem to getong for some reason. IT is probably because of those rotten brothers of hers squealing on me. I thought that Benny's would be the next best thing so I headed down there and shot a game. It was about an hour later when Steve strolled in all depressed. It was a big relief for me when I heard that his mom being sick had nothing to do with him sneaking out. Steve was not being very entertaining so I started to think about my money situation. Dad has already drank it all up already probably. IT was not until that I say this sweet mags on a Chevy that I realized where to get the money. Stupid Steve started getting all worried and paranoid when I was working on the fourth one. It would of worked if the three guys did not come out hollering. I started to get the hell out of there but Steve just looked and froze right in front of them. I had to yell to him to get him to move. I dropped the hubcaps because the guy was gaining on us. WE cut through an alley and up to a roof where we would have to make a decent sized jump. Steve finally got the guts and jumped across and he actually made it. we were so shocked that he actually made it that he forgot to hang on the dummy. I grabbed his wrist just in time before he fell. When we were both sitting, he started to lay in one me because he was really scared i think. It got so crazy that I went and passed out cold right there. I woke up a little later all by myself and that really ticked me off. It was only three blocks later when I realized Steve was crying bad. I right there went from ticked off to scared straight. I wish I could of helped him out more.
